Business Support

Executive PA

To support our Managing Director in the Freetown Office substantial experience in comparable positions e.g. Project Development, Banking or Legal)

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Social Sciences, Business Administration/Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Commerce or equivalent.
  • MBA would be an advantage.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in preparing board meetings and assisting the top management is required for this position.
  • Above average communication skills (written & oral).
  • Proficient in MS Office (word, excel, power point);
  • Proactive, has quick attention to details, & can work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be hardworking, honest and responsible.

IT Specialists

For Network Support and maintenance of workstations, all levels of experience;

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any IT related courses.
  • Required skill(s): Network Support, Hardware and Software Installation, Web Site Development and Design.

For the HR Department (3 years plus);

  • At least 2 year(s) experience in the HR Environment of a fast growing company is required.
  • Knowledgeable in administrative, clerical procedures, and MS Office Applications.

Finance

Cashier

For the Administration and HR Departments (2 years plus);

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in banking or industry is required for this position.
  • Computer skills (Excel and Power Point).
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting software.

Controller/Accountant

For our Finance Department (3 years plus);

Head Surveyor

(engineer) with substantial experience (10 years plus);

Geologists

They are designed to indicate job responsibilities, required experience and working relationships for each position. It is also noted whether a position is

Technical Director (25+ years)

  • Coordinates, administers, mineral resource exploration, appraisal, feasibility studies for the development and production of reserves proved according to the JORC Code for mineral reserves and SEC practices for hydrocarbon reserves.
  • The Technical Director reports to the Managing Director.
  • He will liaise with the heads of Groups. The Groups are: North Group, South Group, Operations (Field Geology), Surveyly.
  • Technical Director is an expatriate appointment.

Lead Geologists (10+ years)

  • The two Lead Geologists have similar related roles. One will be a specialist in coal/lignite geology, another in bauxite geology.
  • The exploration area will be divided into (i) North Area and (ii) South Area. Both areas are believed to have potential bauxite and lignite deposits.
  • They will advise one another on the minerals of their specialisation in the other’s area.
  • One Lead Geologist will be responsible for the North Group and the other for the South Group.
  • They will plan the exploration and development, and participate in the planning and future exploitation of resources in their respective areas.
  • They will interpret results of the f ield operations, appraise leases according to the JORC Code, rank mineral deposits, and lead bidding rounds/lease applications.
  • The Lead Geologists report to the Technical Director.
  • They will liaise closely with one another, with the Supervising Geologist (Operations), Survey (Planning) Engineer, Mining Engineer, Laboratory Manager, Head IT (Modelling).
  • The Lead Geologists are expatriate appointees.

Supervising Geologist (Operations) (10+ years)

  • A highly experienced field geologist, who will maintain and ensure effective implementation of field exploration strategy and supervise corehole drilling programme, with consideration for the environment, and will be responsible for sound HSE practices in field operations.
  • Based in a central field office, but most of the time spent on supervisory visits to both the North and South Areas.
  • The Supervising Geologist (Operations) reports to the Technical Director.
  • He will liaise closely with the Lead Geologists, Survey (Planning) Engineer, Mining Engineer, Laboratory Manager, Head IT (Modelling).
  • The Supervising Geologist (Operations) is an expatriate appointee.

Senior Field Geologists (5-7 yrs) x 2

Civil Engineers

For the development of complex manufacturing sites and project development (2 years plus)

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Others) or equivalent;
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Knowledgeable in natural resources such as oil, gas and minerals would be a distinct advantage.
  • Must be hardworking, honest and responsible.
  • Able to work independently and posses good interpersonal skills.

Mechanical Engineers

For general maintenance (5 years plus)

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • Interested applicants must possess at least 3 to 5 years working experience in plant construction (i.e. Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical Industry or Power Generation).
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Able to work independently and posses good interpersonal skills.
  • Hard worker and Self-motivated.

Mechanics

For the maintenance of generators (Perkins) and general maintenance (several years)

  • Candidate must possess a college diploma with a Mechanical/Technical-related course or in an Industrial secondary school or vocational institute in mechanics.
  • Must possess an all-around mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Must be hardworking, honest and responsible.

Facilities

Food & Beverages Manager

For the operations of our staff apartment and executive houses (2 years plus);

  • Candidate must possess a Hotel and Restaurant Management Diploma or at least Vocational Diploma related to Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Must possess an excellent managerial/leadership skills and knowledge.
  • Must be hardworking, loyal and responsible.

Facilities and Accommodation Manager

With substantial hotel experience;

  • Candidate must possess a Hotel and Restaurant Management Diploma or at least Vocational Diploma related to Facilities and Accommodation Services Management or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Must possess an excellent managerial/leadership skills and knowledge.
  • Must be hardworking, loyal and responsible.

Others

Driver/ Bodyguard

Well trained with several years experience in the security service industry.

  • Candidate must posses at least a High School graduate or a college level with courses related to criminal justice;
  • Preferably working for 3-5 years in the military field, police department or in any other security forces is encouraged to apply.
  • Must have an excellent physical health and fitness.
  • Should possess a driver’s license.
